Founder · data, automation and planning systems
Mert Dönmezler
Unholy Labs was his idea. He studied mechanical engineering at Özyeğin University, where his final-year project was the design of a linear actuator for a four-legged robot. He completed his master’s in Engineering Management at Galatasaray University, with a thesis on the effect of a worker-welfare criterion on decision outcomes in supplier selection. He has spent his working life in manufacturing and the supply chain. As a demand planning specialist at Coca-Cola İçecek, he built a product-level statistical forecasting engine. Forecast accuracy rose from 72% to 84%, and once the write-off risk model went live, write-off risk in regional warehouses fell by 81%. At Spirax Group he worked as a technical sales engineer for the MENAT region and automated the whole quoting process, which handled about sixty quotes a week. Preparation time per quote fell to about six minutes. At Petrol Ofisi he built the assignment and routing model for a fourteen-barge bunkering fleet, and the annual saving came to about $320,000. Today he works as a business analyst at a retail brand, where he built and runs the decision platform that combines weekly data from five retail chains. At Unholy Labs he leads the data, automation, demand forecasting and custom software work.
